Pavement Evaluation by FWD

CEGTH is amongst the first few professional consultants to have procured FWD to cope up the latest technological developments in the country for structural evaluation of existing pavements, estimation residual life and the overlay requirements. FWD overcomes the limitation of Benkelman Beam Defection measurements under static loading and enables in-situ stiffness evaluation of pavement layers and overlay design in a more rational manner. The revised and current manuals of Specifications and Standards for 2-laning and 4-laning projects (IRC:073 and IRC:084) have also made the use of FWD mandatory for structural evaluation of the existing roads for rehabilitation purpose.
CEGTH offers its services to consultants, concessionaires and other organizations on the pavement evaluation and design of rehabilitation measures for existing pavements to arrive at overlay requirements in a more scientific manner.
